from "du" Telecom or Etisalat. Both operators interconnect at the
POI level over the MPLS and extended their access networks for each other’s
reach. “du” Telecom will work as an access seeker where access network is
provided by Etisalat and vice versa. Project deployment was completed in
November-2010 while handover to Network operations completed in Dec-2010.

¨ USF Broadband Project:- 250 Million
Rupees Project; This project was aimed to cater the needs of 16,500 broadband
users on WiMAX, 50 Educational Broadband Centers (EBCs), and 30 Community
Broadband Centers (CBCs) connected via fiber and WiMAX.
¨ Green House Project:- 60 Million USD
O&M Managed Services Project; This project was aimed to establish
in-house infrastructure for operations and maintenance of WiMAX- RAN, Voice
of Class – 4 and Class – 5, Data Core (IMS), and IN/VAS operations. These
operations were managed by Motorola and other 3rd party vendors. I took self
initiative and performed the feasibility of the project with detail financial
analysis to prove its viability. Wateen Telecom was able to save
approximately 7.5 million USD per annum by this exercise conducting O&M
Managed Services in house without Motorola.
¨ FTTH-GPON; 10 Million USD Project;
After RFP floating & evaluation Huawei was engaged for this turnkey
project. Network was deployed in Lahore and Multan Cantt, first GPON
deployment in Pakistan
¨ Metro Ethernet; (As per demand) Deployment
of Metro Ethernet switches by Cisco to provide triple play services on IP for
corporate customers in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad.
¨ DWDM Network:- 150 Million USD
Project; The Long Haul Network Program consisted of 5,040 Km OFC, 71 ADM
Infrastructure sites, commissioning of Huawei’s DWDM Nodes, establishing
O&M infrastructure, and developed & implemented, service
provisioning, corrective and preventive maintenance processes.
¨ CMPak Site Sharing; CMPak's DWDM
deployment and BTS site sharing on one to one basis for Wateen’s
